Seamless Expense is built to help individuals and small teams capture receipts, track expenses, and export records for accounting and tax workflows. This policy explains what information we process, why we process it, and the controls available to you.
Information We Process
- Account information: if you create an account, we may process identifiers such as your email address and authentication provider details.
- Expense data: receipts, transaction notes, categories, mileage logs, reports, and other records you create in the app.
- Uploaded content: images, PDFs, or email-derived receipt data that you choose to import.
- Usage and device data: crash logs, diagnostic data, app events, and subscription status needed to operate and improve the service.
- Optional integrations: when you connect services such as Gmail or export workflows, we process the data necessary to complete that action.
- Advertising signals: for free-tier experiences, ad partners may receive device or ad-related identifiers needed to deliver and measure ads.
How We Use Information
- Provide receipt scanning, categorization, syncing, exports, and subscription features.
- Maintain service reliability, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot failures.
- Measure product performance and understand feature usage.
- Deliver free-tier advertising and manage subscription entitlements.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to valid requests from regulators or law enforcement.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may share data with infrastructure, analytics, subscription, authentication, storage, or advertising providers strictly to operate the service. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect users, the service, or the public.
Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Some local or cached data may remain on your device until you remove the app or clear storage.
Your Choices
- You can choose not to connect optional integrations.
- You can delete receipts or expense records that you have added to the service.
- You can remove the app from your device and revoke third-party access from the connected provider.
- You can manage certain ad and analytics permissions through your platform settings.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational controls intended to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. More detail is available on the Security page.
International Users
If you use the service from outside the country where our providers operate, your information may be processed in other jurisdictions. Where applicable, we use contractual and operational safeguards designed to protect transferred data.
